Helga Hanks & Peter Straton

Leeds Family Therapy and Research Center (LFTRC).

Helga has been a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Analytic Psychotherapist and Systemic Family Therapist in the Dept. of Clinical Psychology and Community Pediatrics, St James’s University Hospital, Leeds and a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychological Sciences, Leeds University. She is a founder members of the Leeds Family Therapy & Research Centre (LFTRC) at Leeds University and Clinical Director from its foundation in 1979 until 2005.

Peter is a Systemic Family Therapist and developmental psychologist with broad research interests including continuing development of SCORE. More than 100 of his publications are listed on ResearchGate. He was Director of LFTRC until retiring in 2005  and was founding Editor of the journal Human Systems, Joint Editor of the EFTA-Springer Book series and previously Chair of EFTA Research Committee.
