Conny Leporatti: For years I have been bound by a deep friendship, as well as great esteem and respect, to Vittorio Cigoli. Vittorio came for years to my Family Therapy Institute Centro Co.Me.Te in Empoli to train psychologists, lawyers, social workers and judges. He always came with pleasure, we shared a love for art, and he was very impressed by my technique of using art images in psychotherapy. We shared another passion, that for Persian carpets. Every time he came to Empoli, he specifically asked to go to Arad, my trusted Persian carpet shop. Arad would receive us with great pleasure, offer us a strictly Turkish tea and after talking for a long time, he would show us the most beautiful carpets. Every time he came to Empoli, Vittorio would return home with a Persian carpet. Once, shortly before Vittorio came for training, I received a phone call from his daughter asking me to organize the day in such a way that there would be no time for Vittorio to go to the carpet shop, because……….. at home and at the studio, Vittorio had no free floors anymore!
