Celebrate the European Day

We as EFTA, European Family Therapy Association, want to celebrate our connectedness today, Europe’s holiday. EFTA connects all systemic European practitioners, wants to support exchange, promote mutual inspiration in creativity. There is a shared sense of belonging, which is very valuable to us.
As EFTA, we want to stay connected, across continents to the rest of the world. We want to guard against turning Europe into a ‘fortress’, at the risk of our borders becoming places of death and destruction, where crime and abuse can reign supreme. We want to celebrate today, in connection and solidarity. However, we also want to keep an eye on what is happening inside and outside our borders, the consequences of climate change, war, poverty, … We call to remain sensitive to this, to take responsibility for it.
